Meningitis B (MenB)

Meningitis B (MenB) is a serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis and septicaemia. It's most common in babies and young children, but can affect people of any age.

Symptoms
Symptoms fever, poor feeding, vomiting, lethargy, and purple rash.
Risks
Meningitis B can lead to long-term health problems such as: amputation, deafness, epilepsy, and difficulty with learning. 
Prevention
The MenB vaccine is routinely offered to babies at 8, 16 weeks, and 12 to 13 months. The vaccine helps protect babies against MenB.
